PayPal Business Profile Terms and Conditions

Last updated on December 13, 2023

The business profile service (“Service”) is provided to you by PayPal, Inc. (“PayPal”) subject to these PayPal Business Profile Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). These Terms are in addition to and supplement all other agreements governing your use of PayPal services, including, without limitation, the PayPal User Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy, and Privacy Statement (collectively, the “Agreements”).

Sharing Personal Information through the Service

The Service allows you to create a publicly accessible profile for your PayPal business account that can be used by others to find, recognize, and transact with you. Your business profile will display a publicly accessible payment link and other information associated with your business (“Profile Details”) as further detailed in the PayPal Privacy Statement. Your business profile and all Profile Details will be visible to anyone with an internet connection and access to your business profile’s link or URL, allowing them to discover your business and more easily verify that they are sending money to the right recipient.

Other PayPal users may be shown your business profile in their personal account feeds if they search for it, transact with it, or subscribe to it.

BY USING THE SERVICE, YOU AUTHORIZE PAYPAL TO PUBLICLY DISPLAY YOUR BUSINESS PROFILE AND PROFILE DETAILS AND UNDERSTAND THAT THEY WILL BE VISIBLE TO ANYONE ACCESSING YOUR BUSINESS PROFILE.

You may delete your business profile by contacting PayPal Customer Service, or by other means we may make available to you. If you delete your business profile, or if your business profile is suspended or terminated for violation of these Terms or any of the Agreements, PayPal may reassign the URL associated with your business profile to another PayPal account.

Business Profile Guidelines

The rate you will be charged for payments received through a business profile is the same as the rate for the corresponding Payment Type (listed on the Fees Page) chosen by your customer at the time that your customer chooses to pay you via your business profile.

You may not use your business profile in any way that violates these Terms or the Agreements.

When using your business profile to receive payments, you may only receive payments from customers for goods and services. YOU MAY NOT USE A BUSINESS PROFILE TO RECEIVE PAYMENTS FOR PERSONAL, FAMILY, OR HOUSEHOLD TRANSACTIONS.

You may not provide your PayPal password or other credentials to any other person to enable such other person to manage your business profile, nor may you use any other account holder’s username and password to do the same.

If you violate any of these Terms or any of the Agreements, PayPal reserves the right to suspend or terminate your business profile and/or PayPal account(s).

PayPal reserves the right to update these Terms in its sole discretion, for any reason, by posting an updated version of these Terms on the PayPal website. Updated terms will be effective as of the date of posting and your continued use of a business profile will constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
